Would you like to learn the computing skills that your children learn at school? Would you like to impress your children, by helping them with their computer homework?
Then you are in luck! We will be running four, basic computer workshops for parents, every Monday until the Easter holiday, beginning on Monday 05 March.
We will open our Computer Suite at 9am and the one hour workshops will start promptly at 9.30am. The workshops will cover Google's word processing, presentation and spreadsheet applications.
This week, Mrs. Titley and Mr. Westmoreland delivered 2 assemblies about Road Safety. The topics included crossing roads safely, the Green Cross Code and ‘being seen to be safe’.
We have received a kind donation of children’s visibility vests, so that drivers can see children on dark mornings and evenings. We would like to thank Col. Burnes (HCSO), Col. Probert OBE (HQ 1 Div) and the Divisional Master Driver.
We have enough vests for each child. Please take good care of the vests and return them to school when you leave Bielefeld, so that we can re-issue them to new arrivals. Please do write your child’s name in each vest, discretely in biro.
Our children go out to play whenever possible, even in cold weather.
The majority of parents send their children to school with suitable coats, jumpers, hats, scarves and gloves - with their names written inside clearly and permanently.
Thank you for making sure that your children are warm and dry, and their clothes are found easily.
On 20 Feb 12, Rosenmontag, we will celebrate Karneval. There will be special assemblies for FS1 to Y2 in the morning and KS2 in the afternoon.
The town of Rietburg has kindly invited our KS2 children to be part of their procession. The theme of the town’s procession this year is ‘clowns’. Please make-up and dress (warmly) your KS2 child for the start of the school day on the 20th and provide him/her with a packed lunch.
If you can spare some time, we need adult volunteer helpers, please. Simply return the slip on the letter that was sent to parents on 31 Jan.
