|Music In Year 4, Stamping Out A Beat|
It has been a very productive week in Year 4!
In Literacy, we have been sharing the speeches that the children were working on last week. Clearly, they have been practising at home, as they are full of detail and wonderfully clear. Well done!
We have started a new unit on biographies. This week, we have been writing a biography about Usain Bolt and have had great fun representing words with symbols and actions. Next week, we will be continuing with this work, by writing a biography about William Shakespeare.
In Numeracy, Miss Mead’s group has been multiplying and dividing numbers by 10 and 100. The children have also had a chance to familiarise themselves with Mathletics. Remember that your child’s login details are in the front of their journals and that they can access Mathletics (and
from home. Education City
Mrs. Westmoreland’s group has been practising number bonds to 20 and has been creating fact families.
Children will have the opportunity to change their reading book daily. It is important that children read at least 5 times a week. Please support them with this and record their reading in their journals. Please also ensure that your child’s journal comes into school every day.
Thank you for your support.
