|Tree Identification, In Science|
We have started our topic on World War 2. Already, lots of great questions have been generated by the children for us to explore over the coming term. Thank you for all of the great resources (DVDs/ books) that have been brought in from home. The topic will involve learning about: Evacuees, Rationing, The Holocaust, Propaganda and The Dambusters.
In English this week, we have been working with the Michael Morpurgo book ‘The Mozart Question’, which has great links to our topic, and which the children have found to be a really powerful text. They have also got to grips with how to use a story map and how to innovate with an author’s style of writing. Well done everyone!
The children will be receiving a folder today, to keep their music practice sheets in. Mr. Reeves continues to be very impressed with the class’s focus during lessons – perhaps we’ll have 24 x Eric Claptons by July!
The Mathematics homework this week is based on written methods and word problems. The English homework is to innovate with some more of Michael Morpurgo’s writing and to think about their own story.
Wishing you all a wonderful weekend.
