Year FS1 Week 15 2014

One of the many splendid Easter
bonnets on display this week
We have been busy learning about Easter and what happened to poor old Humpty Dumpty. Ask the children to sing the rhyme to you, they are getting very good at it :)

The children have had an extra creative time this week making chocolate Easter nests, designing their own egg cup, painting eggs and making their Easter cards, we hope they enjoy the Easter treat from us too :)

Easter Bonnet Parade: Thank you for all of the lovely Easter bonnets that came in on Wednesday. The children looked amazing and had a wonderful time in the parade.

Snack after the holidays will be: cheese and crackers, spaghetti on toast, cake and custard, cereals and hot dogs.

I want to be… After the holiday, we will be looking at different jobs. We will be helping to raise money for Save the Children charity by having a dress up day on Friday 2nd May. We are asking that the children come dressed up in something that they would maybe like to be when they are older ... a doctor, mechanic, explorer, farmer to name a few. We will be collecting any donations during the week for the charity, let’s see how much we can raise.

If you would like to learn more about the event, please visit  www.savethechildren.org.uk/iwanttobe
Stay and Play: Please remember that there will be no stay and play on the last day of term (11th  April) and there will also be no stay and play on the first week back (2nd May) to allow the new starters time to settle in.

Dates for your calendar:
  • Back to school on Monday 28th April.
  • May half term: Monday 26th may-Friday 30th May.
  • Last day of term: Friday 18th July- Please remember that there will be no EDC that day as the session finishes at 12.30 (main school closes at 1.15)
We hope you have a lovely holiday and that you have a safe journey if you are travelling during the holiday. The FS1 Team.
