Year 4 Week 21 2014

Database Creation, Roman Artefacts
Another fantastic half term of work from the children.

In English, Miss Mead’s class have been planning and writing a new version of ‘To the Edge of the World’ and Mrs Westmoreland’s class have been doing the same with ‘Flat Stanley’.

This has given the children a fantastic opportunity to use their imaginations to create new adventures for their characters.

In Maths, Miss Mead’s group have been working with 3D shapes.  They have been creating their own 3D shapes from nets and describing the properties of each shape using a range of vocabulary.

Researching The Romans Online
Mrs Westmoreland’s group have been solving multiplication problems by partitioning and then moving on to the grid method.

After the holiday, we are planning to take the children to Hermanns Denkmal as part of our topic on Romans.  Please return the permission slip along with €1 by Monday 2nd June.

We hope you have a wonderful holiday.

Thank you for your support, Miss Mead and Mrs Westmoreland
