Year 3 Week 25 2014

Today's art session, with the talented Mr. Fidler
This week has been an assessment week with the children working hard to produce their best!

An enjoyable start to the week was our visit to the local ice cream parlour where the children were able to order their delicious ice creams in German! Many thanks to Frau Lowe for organising such a fun trip!

In mathematics both classes revised multiples of 2,3,4, 5, 6, and 10 and looked at written multiplication problems.

In RE the Hindu story of Ganesha was introduced and in ICT we reviewed our poster work and revised maths further using Mathletics. In art the children used Euclid geometry to create their own patterns. We started our athletics unit in PE with the children developing their sprinting skills.

Just a reminder about your creative homework to build a maze for Theseus and the Minotaur which is due in at the end of this month.

Reminders:
  • Please remember a daily reading session of about 10 minutes will really help your child’s progress. Also a few questions about what they have read will help aid comprehension.
  • Please return homework folders every Wednesday so that new tasks can be added.
  • Please bring in P.E kits on Monday -  these will be sent home on Fridays.
Many Thanks for your continued support! Mr. Askew and Mr. Kerray
