|Year 4's Trip To Hermanns Denkmal|
The children have hit the ground running in both classes. Miss Mead’s class have been looking at the language used in persuasive writing, so don’t be surprised if they use their newfound knowledge to try and persuade you to do something over the weekend! Mrs Westmoreland’s class have been looking at the story of Boudicca linked to our current topic.
In Maths, Miss Mead’s group have been looking at scales and measurements. They tested this knowledge yesterday by baking and designing fruity cocktails. Mrs Westmoreland’s group have been using the greater than and less than signs.
The children thoroughly enjoyed the trip to Hermanns Denkmal on Wednesday. They listened to the legend of the local area, climbed the monument, sketched and took part in a photography treasure hunt before having a well-deserved break for lunch.
Thank you for your support, Miss Mead and Mrs Westmoreland
