Year FS1 Week 24 2014

Engineers Learning On The Job
Another week has flown by, and the children have been as busy as ever. They have loved the “camping” theme, in particular, and very much enjoyed their pretend “campfire” snack today.

We hope you had a chance to go into the Green Room, during “Stay and Play” to see the brilliant role play in action again. The children have really got into the role of the characters and the conversations have been truly amazing. Well done!

Next week, we start a two week topic based on Julia Donaldson’s book “The Troll”, so if you do have that book at home, the children will love to hear you read it to them. This moves nicely into our last topic of the year on “Pirates”. Remember, we will be having a dressing up party before the end of term.
Carefully, does it ...

It was great to see so many FS1 families at the World Cup Disco last week, having lots of fun. Thank you for supporting Friends of Bielefeld School.

Hopefully the weather will be better next week and not so humid. Remember to apply sun cream before coming to school and to bring that very important sun hat. Please note that next Thursday (19th) is a German Bank Holiday, but we are open as usual.

Snack next week; Breadsticks & dips, trio of melon, rice cakes, fruit tartlets & ice-cream, scrambled eggs on toast.

Dates for your calendar:- Please also note that Monday 30th June is a teachers’ Inset day so the school will be closed. Summer term will finish on Friday 18th July at 12.30 p.m. Please note there will be no afternoon E.D.C. that day, but there will be E.D.C. as usual from 8.45 a.m. The main school will finish at 1.15 p.m.

If you have any worries or concerns, please feel free to contact us straight away, we are more than happy to help sort out any problems, big or small.
