Year FS1 Week 23 2014

FS1 Discussing The Day's Events
The children are really enjoying their new topic on “Outdoor life, camping, holidays and explorers” and have been very busy making and exploring. Please have a look at the role play area in the Green room. We will continue with the topic for next week, so do send in any exciting holiday snaps you may have.

Please remember to sign the home school journal when you have read to your children, so that we know their books can be changed.

“Stay and Play” will take place on Thursdays until the end of term. Feel free to pop in from 11.00 a.m. or come at 12.15 for “Golden Leaves” Assembly.

Please note that, for safety reasons, children wearing open toe sandals will not be allowed on the climbing frames, so please provide your children with a spare pair of shoes/ trainers for climbing out in the garden. Don’t forget to apply sun cream before coming to school and to bring a sun hat too.

World Cup Family Evening and Disco is this evening 5 – 7 p.m. If you haven’t got a ticket, don’t worry, just turn up. Remember you must accompany FS1 and younger children at all times.

This week’s snack will be Madeleine cakes, egg & tuna pittas, waffles and fruit, cereals, “campfire” baked potatoes, sausages and baked beans.

Advance notice that we will be starting a topic on Pirates from 1st July and we will be having a dressing up party day before the end of term – date yet to be confirmed.

Please also note that Monday 30th June is a teachers’ Inset day so the school will be closed. Summer term will finish on Friday 18th July at 12.30 p.m. Please note there will be no afternoon E.D.C. that day, but there will be E.D.C. as usual from 8.45 a.m. The main school will finish at 1.15 p.m.
