Year FS1 Week 25 2014

Preparing for the 2014 summer jet ski season
“Who’s that trip-trapping over my bridge?” Apologies if you hear rather a lot of this over the next week or so, but the children are really loving their new story “The Troll”, by Julia Donaldson.

They have been out in the garden, in puddle suits and wellies “trip-trapping” across our wooden bridge, finding the Troll’s frying pan and cookery book, preparing and leaving him some different ”foods”, because he is so fed up of fish, and even tracking mysterious footprints!! What a week!

What happens when you sense
sand between your toes,
or a welcoming Haka, perhaps?
More next week … so watch this space. Remember that we will be having a Pirate party and dressing up day before the end of term. So there’s still time to get your costumes.

Please keep toys at home: To prevent children becoming upset when their toys, from home, are lost or damaged, please leave toys at home. Thank you.

Snack payment: Please remember to pay your snack bills for this half term and any outstanding bills from previous half terms. Snack next week; Fruit salad, muffin pizzas, yoghurt & shortbread, savoury wraps & beans on toast.

Camo Day: Please note that next Friday 27th June is Camo Charity Day. So please come dressed up in your camo gear!!

Dates for your calendar:
  • Don’t forget that Monday 30th June is a teachers’ Inset day, so the school will be closed.
  • The end of term is getting closer, so remember Summer term will finish on Friday 18th July at 12.30 p.m. Please note there will be no afternoon E.D.C. that day, but there will be E.D.C. as usual from 8.45 a.m. The main school will finish at 1.15 p.m.
If you have any worries or concerns, please feel free to contact us straight away, we are more than happy to help sort out any problems, big or small. Thank you, enjoy the weekend. The FS1 Team
