Year FS2 Week 25 2014

Painting Jungle Scenes This Week
Thank you so much to those of you who were able to come to Stay and Play last Friday. The children do take great delight in sharing their learning with you.

This week we have transformed the café into a jungle! We have painted grasses, painted animals, made parrots, crocodiles and binoculars.

So next week we will learn more about the act of exploring, watching and taking notes of jungle activity. We have also begun to learn a new song ask your child to have a go, teaching it to you.

Tricky Scissor Work
Symmetrical Shapes
In maths we have learned some more about size and measuring. We have compared objects, made long and short grasses for the jungle and estimated how long we need to make shelters for toy animals of various sizes.

If you have any jungle animals or jungle stories that you wouldn’t mind sharing with us please allow your child to bring them in.

Dates:
  • 27th June - Camo Day
  • 30th June – no school
  • 9th July  - Sports Day
  • 11th July – Stay and Play
We hope to fit in a trip of some kind too to commemorate end of FS2. Watch this space. Thank you for your support and have a lovely weekend !
