Year 5/6 Week 36 2014

Just how tricky is the 8x table?
We have all had a very busy week getting to know each other this week and hopefully everyone is feeling settled into their new classes (and for some, their new school) as we move into next week

Today we particularly enjoyed our ‘Last Night of the Proms’ performance by Gutersloh Music Centre (GMC). The children were naturals at flag waving and bobbing! If anyone is interested in learning an instrument through GMC, their website is www.guterslohmusiccentre.com

All the Y5/6 classes will be finding out their maths groups next week along with their class timetable. Although days will be specified for PE, we do encourage the children to bring their PE kit in on a Monday and take it home on a Friday just in case there are last minute changes to the timetable due to unforeseen circumstances.

Well done to the Y5s for being organised and ready for swimming this week – what a great start!

Homework this week is to ensure they read for the expected 5 times a week and also to have a read of something new, perhaps a newspaper or a non-fiction book.

We hope you all have a lovely weekend!
