It’s been a long half term, and no doubt, everyone is looking forward to a rest. Of course, Halloween takes place during the half term holiday and lots of you will be dressing up for parties. But don't put your costumes away, because on Friday 7th November, F.O.B.S. will present a “Scary Nights Disco”, for all the family from 5.00 p.m. to 6.30 p.m. We will send out more information about tickets after half term, but just as we did for our summer event, the tickets for children in years FS2 – Year 6 will be €2 per child. If you are bringing FS1 and younger children, who must stay with parents for the evening, these children will have free entry. A pro-forma will be sent out to you on Monday 3rd November, so that you don’t lose it over the half term holiday!!
We need your help! For F.O.B.S. to run events such as the “Scary Nights Disco”, we desperately need your help as volunteers to help out on the night. Without your help, we simply cannot run the event. We need parents to help supervise and to help sell sweets, drinks and hot dogs. We also need parents or older siblings who are able to do face painting and people to help at the colouring and painting tables, which usually includes a lot of glitter!!! It would also be really nice if we could have some home made cakes or biscuits for the parents’ café. If you can help with any of these, please drop a line in your child’s home school journal or give the main office a call.
