Years 5/6 Week 43 2014

Years 5/6 Discovering About
Cheese Making In Science This Week
Huge congratulations to those children who have read at least five times a week every week this half term. These children have been celebrated and we look forward to more celebrations next half term!

In English this week, the children have been continuing to explore a novel in order to improve character descriptions.

In maths this week Miss Graham’s and Miss Kinsey’s groups have been solving simple algebraic equations. Mrs Hood’s group have been working hard to consolidate their recall of times tables facts. Over the half term should your child have any spare time that they wish to devote to improving their mathematical skills, there are links to child friendly websites via the school’s website.

Reminders: The children’s English homework for this week was set last Friday, therefore if your child has already completed their remembrance poem they have half term to consider their presentation of it,  ready to be shared with the class after the holiday.

The Creative Homework needs to be in by the 10th November; we look forward to seeing the finished models!

Wishing you all a lovely half term,

Miss Graham & Mrs Creighton
Mrs Hood & Mrs Goddard
Miss Kinsey & Mr Titley
