Year 5/6 Week 46 2014

Respectful Remembrance
Thank you so much to all the parents, friends and family who attended the Y5/6 Remembrance Assembly. The feedback has been lovely and we can only agree that the children did themselves and the occasion proud.

Creative Model Making
Further thanks for all the Creative Homework models that have now arrived in school (and are on display in the walkway). We have had some interesting discussions about the various aircraft and roles they had in WW2, as well as the wonderful methods the children have used to create them. Everything from air fix, lego and recycled items to royal icing!

We are in the process of sharing each model individually and giving them the time they deserve. Those models that still need to be shared and awarded their certificates by the end of today, will be given the necessary time as a priority on return from Arnhem.

Exploring Yeast
In Science
This week there’s no formal homework due to the residential next week. However, if the children would like to access the www.mathletics.eu website, their log-ins are in their journals.

Final arrangements for Arnhem are now on the school website and were also sent out as letters on Thursday. Please take time to check the finer details.

Small reminder: any Christmas lunch pre-orders need to be returned to school by Monday 14th November.
