Year FS1 Week 45 2014

Autumnal Tidying
We hope that you all had a lovely half term holiday. This week we have been celebrating Guy Fawkes night, finding out why we have bonfires and making our own rockets and firework pictures. We enjoyed sharing our Bonfire Day on Wednesday with FS2. We will be making lanterns next week for St Martin’s Day and investigating colours and light and dark.

Remember to sign up for your “settling in” meeting next week too. We will, of course, be celebrating Children in Need’s Pudsey Day by coming to school in our pyjamas and having a fun day while raising money for a very worthwhile cause. So don’t forget your donations on Friday 14th November. There will also be a “Stay and Play” session from 9.30 a.m. to 11.00 a.m. that day. So come and join in the fun.

Snack next week:  Muffins and jam, yoghurts & sponge fingers, tuna & egg mayonnaise sandwiches, croissants and petit pains au chocolat and breadsticks, vegetables and dips.

Dates for your calendar: The end of the Autumn term is Friday 19th December. Please note there will no afternoon EDC that day. Spring term will start on Tuesday 6th January as Monday 5th January is an Inset day for teachers and the school will be closed.

Thank you for your support, The FS1 Team
