Year FS2 Week 45 2014

Guy Fawkes, in for a rocket
This week we have been very busy learning all about Fireworks and Bonfire night.

We have been making 3D fireworks, and writing words to describe the sounds fireworks make. We have been learning the names of 3D shapes and looking for them in the environment.

We have also painted some fantastic firework pictures and had lots of fun with using different colours and shapes to paint and print our pictures.

The children talked about the Firework Code and how to be safe around fireworks - we even made our own set of rules up!

Thank you so much with all your support with reading with the children and writing in the journals.

Friday 14th November is Children in Need day. We will be supporting this charity by having a non- school uniform day.

We would also like to invite you to come into School on Friday 14th November at 11.00-12.00 for a “Stay and Play” session. The session will have a range of activities available for you to participate in with your child.

This will also be an opportunity for you to join in with some fundraising activities with your children. We will be busy baking next week ready for Friday for you all to come and enjoy a cake or two!

Have a lovely Weekend, The FS2 Team
