Year FS2 Week 46 2014

Remembering The Fallen
Well, what a busy week we have had this week.

We have been learning all about Diwali, the Hindu Festival of Light. The children have made Diva Lamps and drawn fabulous Mehndi patterns on our hands. We were very lucky, as we were invited by Mr Askew and his Year 3 class to go and watch them perform a special puppet show of the Diwali Story all about Rama and Sita. The children really enjoyed it.

The children have also been very busy this week baking lots and lots of cakes for Children in Need. We hope you all enjoyed them during our Stay and Play session.

As the weather is starting to change and get colder, please can you make sure the children have a suitable outdoor coat to wear.

Please can we also ask if you have any spare Junk Modelling materials we would really appreciate having these, as the children are very keen model makers!

The children in FS2 attended the School Remembrance assembly that was performed by Year 5 and 6. The children made a fantastic wreath using their handprints and turning them into poppies. The wreath was placed with all of the other year group wreaths during the assembly.

Many thanks for all of your help and support. The FS2 Team
