|Year 4 programming computers with Scratch|
The children have been working incredibly hard during our rehearsals and are looking forward to performing their show, ‘Silent Night’, on Tuesday 16th December at 1:45pm.
Remember to send in the children’s costumes (in a named plastic bag) as soon as they are ready,
In Music, the children have been continuing to learn and refine the songs for our Christmas performance and have begun to add some tricky musical accompaniment to one of the songs.
Our Literacy focus for this week has been ‘speaking and listening’ and centred around our speaking parts for the Christmas performance. The children have worked hard to learn their lines; listen for their cues to speak; then be able to say their lines expressively and fluently.
In Maths, Year 4 have been completing short times table challenge activities and have continued to develop their rapid recall of number facts during games and activities on Mathletics.
Homework – Please see homework folders.
Maths – Please continue working on recalling times table facts with corresponding division facts.
Mrs Pond-Barrett’s group – The children can spend some time playing some of the multiplication games on the ‘Interactive Resources’ website. There is a folder called ‘Y4-Times table games that the children will select games from. The children need to record in the journals the games they’ve played and what times table they focussed on.
Mrs Scannell’s group – The children have an activity to complete involving making 20 and 100.
Please can the Maths homework be completed and returned to school no later than Thursday 11th December?
Thank you for your continued support. Have a great weekend! Mrs Pond-Barrett and Mrs Scannell
