Year 5/6 Week 50 2014

Today's rehearsal, for next week's production
This week has been a busy week for all children in Y5/6! Amongst the many rehearsals for the Christmas Production, children have been busily preparing for their ‘hot write’ in Literacy. They are writing a leaflet to persuade people to visit Bielefeld Tier Park.

In Maths, children have been finishing units of work and carrying out assessments to identify their next steps in learning.

This week sees the launch of spelling homework books for all children in Y5/6. The idea is that children can develop their spelling skills independently and in partnership with parents beginning from their own individual starting point.

We have been delighted by the effort and enthusiasm that children are putting in to the Christmas Production. They have been working hard to rehearse their lines as well as song scripts. Any extra practise over the weekend would be beneficial.

Those children who will not be in school for the final production have made their own contributions to the play by working hard to make props. We are grateful for their help.

We have a busy week ahead with our final production as well as our Christmas Market visit. Please can we remind you to prepare children for all weather eventualities with their clothing choices for the Christmas Markets.

Wishing you all a lovely weekend,

Miss Graham & Mrs Creighton
Mrs Hood & Mrs Goddard
Miss Kinsey & Mr Titley
The Production starts promptly at 13.45hrs
