Year FS2 Week 03 2015

Puddle Splashing
Forest Schools
This week, the children have been using their story-telling skills to tell their own stories to the adults in the setting, using a range of props. The children have told some fantastic stories with a range of vocabulary being used.

The adults in the setting have been assessing all of the children with their phonic and mathematical skills. We are very pleased with the progress the children are making.

Just to remind you, we will be having a Stay and Play session on Tuesday 10th February at 10.30am - 11.30am, so come along and take part in a range of activities with your child and have lots of fun!

Next week, we will be learning all about the story of Goldilocks and the Three Bears. We will be using our measuring and sorting skills. We will be tasting porridge and writing about what it is like. We will also be reading and acting the story to each other.

Due to the weather conditions at the moment, the children in FS2 will be going to the Forest Schools area one class at a time, every other week. Next week, Mrs Corbett/Mrs Baxter’s class will be going to the Forest Schools area and Mrs Gibbon’s class will be staying in school to complete some science activities. If you have any questions about this, please do not hesitate to contact Mrs Gibbons.

We look forward to seeing you at the Parent’s Meetings next week. Many thanks for all of your help and support.

The FS2 team.
