Year FS1 Week 07 2015

Dragon Dancing in FS1
We have had a very busy and fun filled week in FS1. It has been a week of festivals and celebrations.

We had lots of fun learning our “Chinese Dragon” song and dance ready for yesterday’s “Stay and Play”. “Didn’t they do well?”  We enjoyed our “Chinese Takeaway” snack and investigated what lychees looked like, smelled like and, those brave enough, what lychees tasted like! Thank you to all the parents who were able to join in.

We learned how to toss pancakes too and race with them, in readiness for next week’s Shrove Tuesday. So get ready for Pancake Day!

Finally, we loved dressing up for Karneval. Don’t forget there will be lots of local Karneval parades over the weekend and the BIG “Rosenmontag” parades will take place in Cologne and Düsseldorf on Monday 16th February.

So we have come to the end of another half term, have a lovely week’s holiday and we will see you all on Monday 23rd February at the new time of 8.45 a.m.

Snack next week: Cheese & crackers, cereals, beans on toast, dips and vegetables and club sandwiches.

Dates for your calendar: Half term holidays Monday 16th February to Friday 20th February.

Thank you for your support, The FS1 Team
