Year 1 Week 13 2015

In Literacy our “Hot Write” was “How to Trap a Big Friendly Giant”. The children used time connectives and bossy verbs when they wrote their instructions. We were thrilled to see some correct punctuation in the writing as well. Did we trap the BFG? Your child will enjoy telling you all about it!

In Mathematics the children have practised the skills and concepts that they have been taught during the term. Well done to everybody who played the computer games that were set for homework last week.

Forest Schools – We all thoroughly enjoyed our hot chocolate and toasted marshmallows around the fire this week. Thank you very much, Mrs Carroll and Mr Halstead.

Art and D & T – Mr Fidler has taught every child how to make a moving vehicle. The children have all worked extremely hard so that their vehicles can travel along a surface.

Have a Good Holiday! – We would like to take this opportunity to wish you all a restful and peaceful holiday. We look forward to welcoming everybody back to school at the start of the Summer Term.

Thank you for your continued support.
