Year 2 Week 11 2015

Another fantastic week in Year Two!

The children really enjoyed taking part in the Red Nose Day activities, especially pulling the funniest face! It was lovely to see so many parents able to join us for tea and cake as well.
Many of the children in Year Two were also involved in the Lister Dance Festival with Mrs Fuller. Their hard work paid off and they made us very proud.

In English, we have started looking at ‘The Tunnel’ by Anthony Brown. The children have been using commas in lists to describe characters and settings. We have also been learning a text map to help retell the end of the story.

In Maths, Mrs Halstead’s group have been looking at the properties of 3D shapes and have been telling the time.
Miss Mead’s group have been finding ½, ¼ and 1/3 of numbers and using grid references.

A reminder:
The children have PE on Monday and Forest School on Wednesday.  They need their kits to fully participate in both of these sessions.
The children also need to bring a water bottle to school so they can drink throughout the day.
Thank you for your support,
Miss Mead, Mrs Halstead and the Year Two Team
