Meet the dragon from The Dragon Kite story

This week in English we have continued our Talk for Writing unit based on the story of the Dragon Kite and are starting to further explore the text and ‘imitate’ it.

Mr. Kerray’s mathematics group this week have been ordering 2 and 3 digit numbers, consolidating number bonds to 20(plus and minus). Mr. Askew’s group have used number lines to solve subtraction problems and for working out change from £5.

In RE the children used drama to retell the story of Forty Days and Forty Nights.

In Computing the children used a publishing program to create invitations to the Victorian Waxworks Museum.

Mr Fidler continued his printing project in art based on the work of the Victorian designer William Morris.

Mr Reeves continued teaching the children skills for mastering the art of playing the ukulele!

A reminder about the creative homework project.
Hopefully by now you will be close to putting the finishing touches to the waxworks character! You will by now also have received your invitation to the waxworks museum event on Thursday, 19th March at 9:15am.

Reminders:
Please remember a daily reading session of about 10 minutes will really help your child’s progress. Also a few questions about what they have read will help aid comprehension.
Please bring in P.E kits on Monday - these will be sent home on Fridays. Many Thanks for your continued support!

Mr Askew, Mr Kerray, Mrs Jefferys and Mrs Baker.
