Year 2 Week 15 2015

Welcome back, we hope that you all had a relaxing Easter break. Thank you to everyone who helped the children to play all the maths games, during the holiday. The children have been very keen to demonstrate their new skills.

In literacy this week we have learning to write a list poem based on Ten things Found in a Wizard's Pocket by Ian McMillan. The children have been creating their own poems about a variety of wonderful items that are found in different pockets that they have invented.

In maths we have been learning to collect information and record it in a pictogram or a block graph. The children have been answering a range of questions about the information.

This half term we will be finding out about different aspects of “The Weather” and how it can affect our daily lives.

The children will continue to have PE on Mondays and Forest Schools on Wednesdays.

As the weather gets warmer it would be helpful for the children to have a named water bottle in school and a sun hat.

Thank you for your continued support,

Miss Mead, Mrs Halstead and The Year Two Team.
