Year FS2 Week 17 2015

What a busy week we have had! The children have continued to learn the story of ‘The Bad-Tempered Ladybird’ during our talk for writing sessions, and we have been learning all about how to double the ladybird’s spots! Mrs Gibbons’ class had a great time learning how to climb trees in Forest Schools whilst some of us visited the chickens looking for real eggs to use in our cooking - Mrs Corbett’s class can’t wait for the tree climbing next week in Forest Schools!
This week was also an exciting week in our outdoor area where the children have had the chance to choose to work in the Mud Kitchen during our Plan Do Review sessions, and yes it did get a bit messy! But we did have LOTS of fun making mud cakes and magic potions – they have thought of some very inventive recipes!  The children have been using the puddle suits and wellies to prevent clothing getting too dirty, and they have been following the rules of washing up the equipment they have used and also washing their hands when they have finished.
We would like to say a very WELL DONE to those children who have been working really hard following our SMILE rules this week and have kept ALL of their Golden Time minutes – don’t forget your child is allowed to bring a toy in from home to play with for Golden Time

Have a lovely weekend!
Best wishes from the FS2 team
P.S. We are running short of junk modelling resources so please save cereal/egg boxes/containers and bring in to school for the children to use! Thank you.
