Year FS2 Week 18 2015

This week met some real life superheroes!!! Our trip to the Medical Centre was brilliant, we learnt all about how our bodies work and how doctors and nurses can look after us when we are poorly. We measured and weighed ourselves, and used their special tools to listen to our heartbeat! Mrs Gibbons and Mrs Corbett were very proud of ALL of the children when we visited the Medical Centre as they were so well behaved showing brilliant listening skills and fantastic manners.
Next week we will be carrying on the superhero theme by looking at how we can keep fit and healthy. On Thursday 21st May, we are planning our next Stay and Play session; this will be at 10.30-11.30 and will be linked to our superhero learning. We would like this to be a non-uniform day for FS2 and children are welcome (and adults!) to wear a superhero costume or an accessory, if preferred, eg a mask!
We hope you have been having fun with your child practising reading/writing the new tricky words this week. When you feel your child is confident at reading them and/or writing them, please let us know by writing in their journal and we can pass on the next set to practise and earn.
We would like to extend a warm welcome to Liam Cole and his family who has joined Mrs Corbett’s class this week. Finally we would also like to say a very WELL DONE to those children who have been working really hard this week to keep all of their Golden Time minutes!

Have a lovely weekend!  Best wishes from the FS2 team.
