Year 2 Week 23 2015

Forest School
Year Two children have had a very busy week this week completing some end of year assessments. We are very proud of them all because they have worked really hard.

In literacy we have been learning about the features of a problem and resolution text, using the story about Albertine the dinosaur. Next week the children will plan and write their own version of this story.
In maths the children have been applying “known facts “to work out a range of problems and calculations.

This afternoon the children have enjoyed helping the Year Six children to get ready for Sports Day which will take place next Wednesday from 10.30. The children have been put into colour teams.

Please see the note in the journal which tells you your child’s team colour. We hope as many parents as possible will come and support. The children are really excited about the family picnic that follows the sports.

Due to the intensity of this week we are asking the children to do some extra reading for their homework.

Thank you for your continued support,
Miss Mead, Mrs Halstead and The Year Two Team.
