Year FS2 Week 21 2015

Fun at the picnic
It was lovely to see so many of you at the Forest School morning yesterday! The children had a thoroughly good time exploring and creating but of course the best thing they enjoyed was having the group picnic with all of you!

This week the children have been busy using their writing skills to record their holiday news, focussing on finger spaces and using capital letters and full stops in the right place; we are very impressed with the way the children are now sounding out and writing the words independently, the Year One teachers will be so impressed.

The weather as you may have gathered has improved dramatically and we have found that some of the children still do not have access to their own water bottle – please can we ask that your child has their water bottle in school every day. It will also be a good idea if your child brings in a named sunhat to help prevent heat stroke and sunburn, as we would like to take advantage of the good weather and learn outside.

Dates for diary:
22nd June : Trip to Osnabruck Zoo
24th June : Sports Day (more info to follow)
7th July    :  FS2 Stay and Play
14th July  : FS2 Graduation assembly (more info to follow) and visit to icecream parlour.
17th July  : School finishes 1.15pm

And finally…. for your information Mrs Corbett will be attending her Forest School training course in the UK over the next two weeks, (and will be looking forward to sharing what she has learnt with us all!) so any questions or concerns about your child please do not hesitate to speak with Mrs Gibbons.

Have a lovely weekend!  Best wishes from the FS2 team
