Year 3 Week 26 2015

This week in English we kept our reading going during a busy Big Arts Week!

Mr. Kerray’s mathematics group this week have been using rulers to measure in metres as well as centimetres Mr. Askew’s group have looked at capacity and weight and carried out a variety of practical activities.

In music we impressed Mr. Reeves yet again with our ukulele playing which we will showcase in the musical extravaganza next week!

Our main focus this week has been on art and Mr Kerray’s class have been using Vincent Van Gogh’s ‘Starry Night as their inspiration.
In Mr Askew’s class we have looked at pop art and in particular Andy Warhol with the human body as our theme. We hope you enjoyed looking at the children’s work in the Bielefeld Art Gallery on Friday!

Homework: a piece of Mathematics and English this week.

Reminders:
Please remember a daily reading session of about 10 minutes will really help your child’s progress. Also a few questions about what they have read will help aid comprehension.
Please bring in P.E kits on Monday – these will be sent home on Fridays.

Many Thanks for your continued support!
Mr Askew, Mr Kerray, Mrs Jefferys and Mrs Baker.
