Year 4 Week 26 2015

What a fantastic we had on Tuesday! - The sun was shining, (unlike we I visited on Sunday and had to dodge the storms!), the atmosphere was warm and the children were fab! They had a really lovely time on well-deserved trip to celebrate the end of a hard-working and great school year!

Well deserved fun in the sun!
Well deserved fun in the sun.
This week, the school have been working very creatively during what has been our Arts week and the children in Year 4 have worked incredibly hard and produced some amazing pieces of art!  Year 4’s theme for Arts week was linked to a painting by the Russian artist, Wassily Kandinsky, titled, ‘Squares with concentric circles and the focus for all of our activities was ‘circles’. The children created some individual pieces of art work and also worked together on some collaborative pieces, including mosaic tree stump stools for Forest Schools, two very different versions of Kandinsky’s painting, some pointillism pieces of art and some water colour abstract paintings. Hopefully you will have had the chance to visit our Arts exhibition and see the variety of fabulous art work that the children have worked on.
