Year 3 Week 1- 11th September 2015

A very warm welcome to all of year 3, what an exciting year ahead!

Here is our first journal note of this academic year.

In English this week we have been working on our recount of our marvellous trip out to Reitberg Park. We have also introduced our English study unit, Rama and the Demon King, lots of excellent English work ahead.

In mathematics Mr.Askew has been revising work multiplication of 2,5,10 and number bonds to 10 and 100. Mr.Kerray's set have been working on their number bonds to 10 and 20.

In  R.E. we have introduced the children to aspects of Hinduism using music and incense.

In computing we have looked at scratch coding program, exploring all its possibilities.

Mr.Fidler taught art this week, which the children really enjoyed.
We started our Forest schools programme on Monday and this will be every Monday from now on, so please remember your kit.
REMINDERS.

Remember to continue reading daily with your child, 10 minutes daily practise will really help them to improve.

Make sure you also discuss the book you have read, again this is an important reading skill that the children need to develop.

Please return homework folders every Wednesday so that new homework can be added.

Please bring PE kits into school on Monday, we will send them home on Friday.

Many thanks for your support,

Martin Askew, David Kerray, Helen Jeffery‘s and Wendy Fuller
