Head Teacher's Message - 11 Dec 15

We are now in full Christmas mode!

I watched the Key Stage 1 Production this morning and was very impressed with how confidently the children performed. We hope all of the parents and carers watching this morning enjoyed the children’s efforts.

Our FS and KS 2 children have also been rehearsing for their performances next week, so the school has been filled with Christmas music.

This week, we watched the Garrison Pantomime and what a show it was! The actors did a super job and I hear that Giggles has become a firm favourite with the children.

Finally, we enjoyed Christmas lunch. On a personal note, I would like to say a big thank you to the Year 6 children who helped during the lunch. This was absolutely fantastic to see. You were definitely good role models.

Our children have been working on Christmas-themed mathematical problems. The NRich maths website has some excellent advent calendars for children, to do a maths problem a day.

The School Council has chosen the winner of its(Responsibility, Respect, Resilience, Risk-Taking, Reflective) life-long learner poster competition. Well done, the winner! The School Council has agreed that all of those who took part should also win a prize.

We would like to thank all of the children, parents, carers and teachers for helping to raise €175 for Julia’s House, which is a charity that helps children with life limiting illnesses.

Have a good weekend. Mrs Mason
