Head Teacher's Message

Dear parents and children,
Welcome back everyone! Thanks to you all for sending your children back to school looking so smart. This week in school the children have settled into their new routines. I would like to say thank you to everyone for making our new children feel welcome. It certainly seems like you have all been together for a long time! I would also like to welcome our new staff.

School Council News

Next week we will nominate 2 School Council members from each class. The School Council will meet each month to discuss ways in which we can improve our school so watch this space.

Tuck shop for KS 2

This will restart after we have had our first school council meeting on Monday 26th September.

Mrs Carroll is planning on running a STEM (science, technology, engineering and maths) club which will initially be open to children in Y3, 4, 5 and 6.  It will involve 1 lunch time per week and hopefully STEM based trips each half term to places such as science labs and hopefully the space station! Due to the nature of the club spaces will be limited so if you would like to take part in the club you will need to apply in writing to Mrs Carroll stating what you think STEM is, why you would like to join the club and why Mrs Carroll should pick you.

Year 2 visit to the Obersee.

Year 2 launched their curriculum work this term with a visit to the Obersee and despite the unseasonal warmth they all had an excellent time.

German Phrase of the week

Schönes Wochenende!

As you may be aware Frau Lowe has now returned to the UK so I am pleased to welcome Mr Mason to the team at Bielefeld School. Mr Mason is a qualified German teacher and will continue the excellent work Frau Lowe did in school.
Have a good weekend.
Mrs Mason
