Dear parents and children,
Year 3 enjoyed their visit to the open air museum in Oerlinghausen this week. They were given a guided tour and then tried their hand at making bread.
We also carried out a fire drill. Mr Moore was very impressed with how quickly and sensibly the children were able to vacate the school.
Each class voted for 2 school council members. I sat in with Y5 and listened to their speeches. Children pledged that they would work hard for their class and came up with some novel ideas which appealed to the voters. We certainly have some budding politicians! The first meeting will be held next week. At this meeting we will choose the charities we will support this year.
Mr Reeves has introduced the children to music of the week. This week we have been listening to Johann Sebastian Bach.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KSILj9EfIlM
