Head Teacher's Message 7th October 2016

Dear parents and children,
It’s been a short but busy week for the children. We were visited by the Playtime Theatre Company and we enjoyed the performance which featured six of the children. During the afternoon KS 2 children took part in a drama workshop.
As I write we are getting ready for our Fijian day. I will include some photographs in next week’s newsletter.
Finally we are very proud of our Year 6 writers this week. I have included two of their poems for you to read.

Land of Hope and Glory

The optimistic dream of hope warmed through my veins as I marched to war.
Hope was like a never ending water-fall rushing through my veins like a fast blood river so it could force me to war.
Hope was a source of happiness making me proud for my dad and my cousins who too had joined.
Caring curious hope made me think everything was going to be exciting.
Hope led me to a life choice: Where would I end up?

Fiery Fearlessness

Fearlessness was an emerald of bravery-a precious gem in my soul-shining as I signed up with my chums.
Fearlessness was an ally; it led me to be victorious-thus keeping democracy in place.
Energising, courageous fearlessness whispered: ‘Will you follow my guidance and find courage my boy?’

Lost property

We have an incredible amount of lost property. I am thinking of opening a shop!
If you are missing any items please pop into school and have a look through the rails.
Thank you.

Team point quiz

The answer to last week’s question was 3.

Well done yellow team!

This week’s question:
What does the V mean in Henry V?

Have a good weekend.
