Head Teacher's Message 13th January 2017

Weekly Round up

Dear parents and children,

This week Year 2 have been learning how to write instructions and in particular how to make a banana milkshake. I have visited the FS 1 “hairdressing salon” and had my hair combed, sprayed and even put into rollers! Year 3 and 4 paid a visit to the Bielefeld Kunsthalle and enjoyed looking at the displays as well as creating their own.

This week Miss Graham and I looked at how well children have been doing with their AR quizzes. In next week’s team point assembly we will be awarding badges to any child who has maintained an average of 85% correct responses. So get quizzing children!

Who am I?

I was the first person to study the sky with a telescope.  This led to discovering Jupiter’s moons; the rings of Saturn; seeing that our moon has mountains and that stars made up the Milky Way.

What country am I from?

German Phrase of the week

Frohes Neues Jahr!
Happy New Year!

Have a good weekend!
