Head Teacher's Post July 7th 2017

Dear parents and children,

It has been a strange week with both Years 5 and 6 away. Year 6 arrived back yesterday full of news and bags of Belgian chocolate! Year 5 are travelling as I write.

I took volunteers from Years 3 and 4 to the consortium schools Big Sing event on Tuesday. This was an excellent occasion for the local schools to get together and share songs and music. Our children performed the musical version of the Pied Piper story and I was very impressed with their confidence and poise in front of a large audience.

This week was the final week of clubs for this academic year and I would like to take the opportunity to thank all of the staff volunteers who make our clubs possible. I know that some of you mentioned in the questionnaire that you would like to be involved. Please let me know if you can help by either offering or supporting a school club next year. Thank you.

One of our Year 4 pupils Ffion is trying to do her bit to support a special charity. Ffion will cut her long hair off to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support because she feels that the nurses do an amazing job. The link below will give you further information.

Non uniform day on Friday 21st July
Please bring 1 euro to support Ffion’s charity efforts

Thank you
