Headteachers Message April 27th 2018

Message from the Headteacher

 Dear Parents

It’s been another busy week in school! Many thanks to all of you who were able to attend the Parent-Teacher Meetings on Tuesday and Wednesday, I hope you found them informative.

This week I have had the pleasure of spending some time with the FS2 class and getting to

know them a bit better and what a lovely class they are—thank you FS2! Over the coming weeks

I  plan to spend some time with each class and I am looking forward to it already.

Good luck to anyone taking part in and supporting the netball-a-thon that is happening today in the gym on Rochdale Barracks. I hope the ‘Bielefeld Schoolers’ squad (who are playing 6pm-8pm) enjoy the part they are playing in supporting this good cause.

Wishing you all a wonderful weekend,

Kelly Reeves

Super Swimming

The children in Year 1 and 2 have thoroughly enjoyed their first 2 swimming sessions and have been working incredibly hard on developing their swimming skills.  For some of the children, these have been their first ever swimming lessons and the reactions & look on their faces as they 'swam' for the first time was priceless!

World Book Day
Unfortunately the value of books we had donated to us by the Usborne book fair organisers was not completed on last week’s newsletter. I am happy to inform you that we received free books to the value of €502!

Children’s University News
Unfortunately due to the withdrawal of central funding for the Children’s University, it will no longer be offered through MOD Schools.
Please be aware if you are moving back to the UK the Children’s University Passport is transferable.
We will be acknowledging and celebrating any learning the children have taken part in outside of school however we are no longer able to validate hours in the passport or provide an official Children’s University graduation.
